Big Plates Cod: BP 002 Information

Plain brimmed, unglazed foot to hang and crafted in the mode of under glaze cobalt blue and white technique it resembles 15th century Chinese plates. It is exactly Ottoman with arabesque curved stripes and diamond boards. These are the motifs lacking of Chinese characteristics but Baba Nakkaş motifs. These are the most glorious master pieces of Fatih Sultan Mehmet (the conquered) era and the samples are on display in London and Çinili Köşk (Tiled Kiosk) - Istanbul.
